I purchased a book as a gift for my daughter's birthday. When I opened the package I found that the book had been damaged in transit. I contacted customer service, and Samantha H.was so nice and helpful. She helped me get a replacement book, which arrived today. Thank you so much!!
Hi Eileen, we're so glad Samantha could help and that you're happy with your experience!
I've been trying to get back to paper planning for four years. After several failed attempts with other products, I found St. Belford. I used the weekly planner for 2026, and it's the first time since college (early 90s) that I've used the same paper planner for an entire year. I even set goals, intentions, and habits, and now, at the start of Q4, I've accomplished most of my 2026 goals.
A little context: I am a Founder and CEO of a boutique consulting firm for the past 15 years. I also have a learning disability. Staying organized matters, and it hasn't always come easily. I've tried planners designed specifically for neurodivergent people and never stuck with them. St. Belford is the one that finally clicked. The tabs and the step-up structure give me exactly the right amount of guidance to be successful.
I also love the look and feel. The books are simple and professional, but they aren't boring black. I can get them in fun colors (last year was a beautiful green, and this year I chose lavender). And the sticker guide keeps the tabs and labels looking sharp all year. I genuinely feel put together when I use it.
For 2027, I've switched to the page-a-day version, and I'm excited to see how it goes.
A few tips that have helped me (especially if you're neurodivergent)
• Use erasable pens. I use Pilot FriXion pens. They don't smear, they come in lots of colors, and if plans change or I misspell something, my page still looks clean. Color-coding also helps with my cognitive disability – and it looks fun.
• Plan on Sunday nights. I write all my meetings in the left-hand column, even though I also keep a digital calendar. On the right-hand column, I list up to three deliverables or work items for each day. Capping it at three keeps me from overloading myself, and it's been working. I'm a work in progress like everyone else, but this has made a real difference in finding a good stopping place for the day.
• Reward the habit, not the result. I bought a pack of 100 capybara stickers for about $6, and once my week is planned, I put one in the Notes/Reminder box in the upper left corner. It has no purpose except to make me smile when I look at it during the week. The reward isn't for finishing the week but for sitting down and filling in the planner.
• Try a dot pen for checklists. Instead of checking boxes, I stamp them with a colored dot pen (kind of like a highlighter). It sounds small, but it's so satisfying and keeps the planner looking nice all week.
• Keep it on a stand. My planner sits on a cookbook-style stand that keeps the pages flat. It's always open and visible, and I can easily turn it aside or pick it up when I need to.
Thank you for making a product that works for brains like mine. Please feel free to share any of this if it helps someone else. Here are the links for context.
